Welcome to ThrowIQ! These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using our app. By using ThrowIQ, you agree to these Terms.

Who We Are

ThrowIQ is operated by Release Point Ventures, a small company dedicated to helping baseball parents and coaches keep young arms healthy.

What You Get

  • Access to the ThrowIQ app for tracking throws and arm health
  • Weekly summaries and red-flag alerts
  • Data export tools (PDF reports)

What You Pay

  • Free during beta (no credit card required)
  • Post-beta pricing: $19.99/year for parents, $149/season for coaches
  • We accept all major credit cards via Stripe. No refunds after 14 days.

Rules for Using ThrowIQ

  1. Age: You must be 18+ to create an account. Parents can create accounts for kids under 13.
  2. Account: Keep your login info secure. Don't share your account with others.
  3. Data: Only enter data about yourself or your own kids. Don't input data about other people's children without permission.
  4. App Use: Use ThrowIQ only for its intended purpose (tracking throwing workloads). Don't try to hack or reverse-engineer it.
  5. Content: You own your data (throw logs, reports). We have a license to use it to provide the service and improve the app (anonymized).

⚠️ Medical Disclaimer (Important)

ThrowIQ is not a medical device. The app provides tracking and educational information only. "Safe to Throw" indicators and rest recommendations are estimates based on general guidelines (like MLB Pitch Smart) — they are not medical advice.

ThrowIQ does not replace the judgment of a physician, athletic trainer, or coach. Release Point Ventures is not responsible for any injuries, including but not limited to Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) injuries, that occur while using the Service.

Always consult a medical professional for health concerns.

Parental Ownership

We recognize the Parent/Guardian as the owner of any data related to a minor athlete. Coaches are granted revocable access to this data via the "Team" feature. Parents can remove coach access at any time.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Release Point Ventures, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

Our Rules

  • We can change pricing with 30 days' notice
  • We can suspend accounts for violating these Terms
  • We're not liable if you misuse the app or ignore its recommendations

Changes to Terms

We can update these Terms. We'll email you if anything major changes.
